Eugene Gibney
Managing Director
Eugene Gibney is a respected information security consultant with over 15 years of information security experience. Eugene is the Managing Director and owner of Quantum Security and has worked extensively in numerous markets including Ireland, the UK, New Zealand and Australia.
Eugene has worked with both government and private sector clients, most recently with some of the New Zealand’s largest organisations including leading players in financial, telecommunications, utility and government sectors.
His technical background coupled with governance and compliance experience provides a very good balance between technical understanding and business requirements.

Conor Fitzgerald
General Manager
Conor joined Quantum Security in July 2019 and brings with him many years of hands on experience in information security as well as many information security qualifications and certifications.
Having graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, he has gained years of experience in the IT and information security industry.
Having previously worked as an ISO 27001 lead auditor, he has helped over 50 global customers to improve their information security. As a customer experience advocate, Conor is passionate about finding the best security solution for all types of business models.

Sam Shute
Head of Technology and Research
Sam Shute is a Technical Principal Security Consultant with a wide range of experience, from teaching students, to practical exploitation, and guiding developers in secure development.
He is a strong believer in collaborating with development teams in order to remediate current issues, as well as to avoid creating similar issues in future.
Sam has a strong research background publishing research at both academic and industry conferences, as well as certifications, such as CISSP and OSCP, that speak to his practical ability.
Sam's core focuses at Quantum involve web application and network penetration testing, secure development consulting, and expanding the technical skillsets across the Quantum team.

Stephen Penman
Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance
Principal Security Consultant Stephen Penman has been with Quantum Security a number of years and was the first to join Director Eugene Gibney after the company started. Stephen’s main role involves helping clients through their certification and accreditation processes, ranging from risk assessments through to controls audits and certification.
Stephen has a wide range of experience working with both government and commercial clients to ensure that they meet their security and compliance requirements. He has recently completed the certification process for a large agile project at a major NZ Government agency.

Callum Stewart
Technical Team Manager
As a Technical Principal Security Consultant with over six years’ security experience, Callum has a wide range of experience in several technical roles. His role at Quantum Security focuses on technical testing, as well as configuration and design reviews.
Callum covers a wide range of testing, including penetration testing of websites, applications and APIs, firewall configuration reviews, host security configuration reviews, external perimeter reviews and application configuration reviews.

Vicki Chamberlin
People and Culture Manager
Working for most of her career across project and event management within technology organisations, Vicki is Quantum Security’s People and Culture Manager.
She draws on her extensive experience working in the UK and New Zealand, leading the operations team and driving the internal processes to ensure that a consistently high standard of service is delivered to Quantum Security’s clients.
A large part of Vicki’s role involves developing, implementing and reviewing Quantum Security’s operational policies and procedures, and working to improve quality, productivity and efficiency across the team and the work we do.

Kin-Ming Looi
Principal Security Consultant
Kin-Ming has more than 13 years of experience in information security with extensive prior business and technology strategy consulting and software development experience. Kin-Ming’s vast experience expands worldwide as he has delivered many consultancy assignments to international government sectors.

Anna Thomson
Principal Security Consultant
With experience in Technology Risk and Assurance services, Anna has worked on a wide range of risk engagements including Internal Audit, Independent Quality Assurance, Financial IT Audits and C&A.
Having spent two years in professional services, Anna has worked with both public and private sector clients. She is passionate about working collaboratively to enable clients to improve their security practices.
In her spare time Anna is a dedicated athlete and competes nationally and internationally in the triple jump.

Antonio Radich
Managing Security Consultant
With a strong analytical and mathematical background, Antonio provides experience in security consulting and software engineering.
Antonio has a proven, practical knowledge of compromising secure computer systems, which he learnt through his OSCP studies.
Along with his development experience in the industry, he has also undertaken many personal projects, including video game development, in order to further advance his technical skills.

Ray Tang
Lead Consultant
With five years of technical experience, Ray provides a valuable range of skills to Quantum Security.
Ray has extensive knowledge in performing technical assessments and security reviews of various systems. His recently awarded Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification speaks to this ability.
Ray has also worked with a range of public sector clients to develop, review and improve their Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes. Part of this involved performing security risk assessments, validating security controls, and assisting with security operational tasks.

Nick Lauder
Lead Security Consultant
Nick is a graduate from Victoria University of Wellington, with a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, majoring in software engineering. His Honours project focused on mechatronics, developing wireless communication for teleoperated robots in mining situations.
Nick also has experience in secure development and testing of embedded devices.

Kyla Butcher
Senior Security Consultant
Kyla is a graduate from Victoria University of Wellington, with a background in Political Science and Ethics. As a previously experienced Information Security Project Coordinator, she has had a number of years’ experience in customer service and support. Kyla is passionate about Information Security, common vulnerabilities and facilitating positive customer experiences.
While working at Quantum, Kyla has enabled a number of large Government Certification and Accreditation projects, working in conjunction with Senior and Principal Consultants.
